New Pattern Release: Crunchy Slouch Hat

Here it is! My brand new hat pattern, the Crunchy Slouch.

This weekend we had a pretty nasty wind/rain storm. I was lucky enough to get a few decent shots of The Squid in between downpours (notice the puddles in the background). That’s Washington for ya!

This hat is pretty easy. If you are a beginner you should be able to handle it. I love that the construction and stitches are pretty simple but the results look amazing!
One of my loyal testers (Samantha of Purple Shark Crafts) decided to make her hat in two colors. After seeing hers I had to make one. It gives the hat a completely different look. I absolutely love it!

For the purple hat I used Naturally Caron Country and for the blue and grey hat I used Red Heart Soft. I recommended using a light worsted weight to get a good drape/slouch. Caron simply soft or something similar would be nice as well. You also need a I hook (or hook to obtain gauge).

I also have a pattern for matching fingerless gloves. They are being tested now and They should be ready by the end of the week. Don’t they make a nice set? The Squid approves 🙂
