My husband has been asking for a blanket for a long time and I finally found time to make one. One thing you should know about my husband, he hates any color of any kind. He told me he wanted a grey on grey blanket so I thought I should do some interesting striping with it. I feel pretty confident I achieved this with my Spiky Man Blanket.
For my husband’s blanket I used Bernat Super Value in Soft Grey and Dark Grey and K hook but the beauty of this pattern is that you can use ANY weight hook and ANY size hook (although, I suggest a slightly larger hook than recommended for the yarn you choose).
The Spiky Man Blanket pattern is written for a throw size but can be made in any size. You could even make it a wash cloth, rug, or even a pot holder if you used cotton yarn . I also love that there is no counting for this pattern. I would rate the skill level at easy. There is one stitch that may be unfamiliar to true beginners but I have made a video tutorial for that.
