Introducing the Kayla Sweater!
I’m so happy with the way this came out. I know I have a winner when the Squid refuses to take something off after getting pictures done.
This sweater is one of those things that is so simple but the results are something you’ll love. It’s constructed from the top down all in one piece. I’ve even added the option for long sleeves. I love that you can also easily adjust the fit of this one. Because it’s a topdown sweater you can adjust the fit as you go and add or take away length if needed.
For the pattern you’ll need a J (6mm) hook and worsted weight yarn. For the sample I used Bernat Super Value but testers had great results with other worsted weight yarn. I really like the Super Value because it’s one of those yarns that you get a lot for your money but it’s softer (especially after blocking) than other affordable yarns. I Love This Yarn by Hobby Lobby would work well too.
I have two patterns for this one. Girl sizes are available in 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Women sizes are available in XS, S, M, L, 1X, 2X, and 3X (yes! I have plus sizes!). When choosing a size be sure to go off the chest/bust measurement. I designed the Kayla Sweater to have 2″ of positive ease but you could go up or down a size for a tighter or looser fit.
