This yarn will be dyed on my Squid DK base. This yarn is 75% Superwash Merino (27 micron) and 25% Nylon.
This yarn is worsted spun (uses longer fibers) for a stronger yarn that is less likely to pill. The fibers also come from farms that are cruelty free. The yarn is soft, springy and perfect for everyday use!
Each skein is approx. 100g/246yds.
Recommended Needle Size: 3.5 – 4.5mm (US 4 – 7) needles
Gauge (stocking stitch): 22sts x 30 rows over 10cm/4 inches
on 4mm (US 6) needles
This yarn is hand dyed so no 2 skeins will be exactly alike. Keep in mind you will not receive the exact yarn pictured and it may be slightly different.
All yarns are heated until dye is exhausted. They are then rinsed and soaked in unscented Eucalan to restore the lanolin.
Care instructions: I recommend hand washing in cool water and laying flat to dry.
I have done my best to photograph all yarn true to color. However, every monitor can display color differently.
About the Spring Showers Shawl from Maria
“I love to vary stitches and textures as well as lacy and closed work in my projects. I also love to add interesting edgings and borders. The Spring Showers Shawl has all of these elements. In fact, this shawl starts out with a circular motif that turns into the typical shawl triangle. I added rows of openwork flanked by lacy scallops and finally, a deep pointed edge as the final border. While it may look intricate and complicated, it is a collection of basic crochet stitches.
