I ordered yarn for the Velia Pullover with a completely different idea in mind. After playing with stitches I decided to pivot my idea and I’m so happy with how it came out. This sweater uses a usually thicker stitch but because it’s made using DK weight yarn and larger hook than normal its a lot lighter. It’s also a closed stitch so there’s no need to layer anything under if you don’t want to.  This pattern is available in sizes XS-5X (see measurements to pick the beat size). You should know how to chain, single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch, work in the back loops, how to work flat and how to work in the round.

For this crochet sweater pattern I used Cotton Top from King Cole Yarn. This yarn is part premium acrylic, part cotton. I love the flecks of white (I’m assuming that’s the cotton content) it gives the fabric an extra dimension of texture. This yarn comes in a bunch of lovely colors and after washing it I felt it held up really well. Definitely something to try out!
