Size

One Size

Approx. 21” around by 8.5” tall

Yarn

1 skein KT and the Squid Deluxe Worsted (85% extra Fine Superwas merino/15% nylon, 100g/196yds, worsted weight)

Samples are shown in the color Tyra (blue) and Sand (brown)

Hook

5/5 mm Furls Streamline hook (or hook to obtain gauge)

Notes

This cowl is worked in continuous rounds. You can adjust the size by the chaining any number to start

Gauge 

Gauge is not critical for this project. The first round should be approx. 10.5” laying flat and fit comfortably over your head

Abbreviations

Ch = chain

St(s) = stitch(es)

Hhdc= herringbone half double crochet

Special Stitches:

Herringbone Half Double Crochet (Hhdc): Yarn over, insert hook in the stitch indicated, yarn over, pull through the st and the 1st loop on the hook, yarn over, pull through all remaining loops.

Ch 68, being careful not to twist join to the first ch with a slip st.

Round 1: Ch 1, hhdc in each ch around, do NOT join.

Round 2: Hhdc in the 1st st and each st around, do NOT join. 

Repeat round 2 until you run out of yarn

Fasten off, block, weave in ends.
