I originally designed the Dina Tee a few years ago using a sport weight yarn. I wanted to remake it in a solid color and I also wanted to make a video tutorial to help those of you who may be new to crochet garment making. I played around with a few different yarn and decided King Cole’s Subtle Drifter DK was the perfect fit. I was actually able to meet the same gauge as the original pattern so really the only difference between the 2 designs is the yarn. You can find the original HERE
You can also note in the photos of the original I’m wearing size XS and in the new photos I’m wearing size S. I designed the top to fit with 10″ of positive ease which is what is shown on this page but if you’d like a more fitted top feel free to size down like I did in the original.
Before you get started let me tell you a bit about the yarn. Subtle Drifter DK is such a lovely yarn! It’s hard to capture in the photos but it’s not a solid yarn. There’s subtle variations in the lovely purple color and a slight texture to the yarn. It’s even more beautiful in person! You can find a King Cole stockist HERE. If you’re able to shop locally please do! if not I did also find it online HERE.
Below you’ll find the free pattern. I also filmed an in-depth video tutorial.

You can easily add length to the tee. This will add yardage to the yarn requirements.
