Yarn

Worsted weight yarn. About 20 yards

Hook

G/4 mm hook

Abbreviations

Ch = chain

St = stitch

Sc = single crochet

fpsc = front post single crochet

bpsc = back post single crochet

Notes
Size of Ornament is not critical. You can adjust the size by using a different weight yarn and hook size.

This little sweater is made from the top down in one piece.

Gauge 

Gauge is not critical to this project. 

Neck Trim

Ch 4

Row 1: Working in the BLO slip st in the 2nd ch from hook and each ch, turn. 3

Rows 2-8: Ch 1, working in the BLO slip st in each st, turn. 

Ch 15, slip st the last row to the beginning chs.

Yoke

Round 1: Ch 1, working in the ends of the trim (sc, ch 2, sc) 4 times around, join with a slip st to the first st. -8 sc

Round 2: Ch 1, sc, *(sc, ch 2, sc) in the next ch-2 space, sc in the next 2; repeat from * 2 times, (sc, ch 2, sc) in the next ch-2 space, sc in the last, join with a slip st to the first st. -16 sc

Round 3: Ch 1, sc in the first 2, *(sc, ch 2, sc) in the next ch-2 space, sc in the next 4; repeat from * 2 times, (sc, ch 2, sc) in the next ch-2 space, sc in the last 2, join with a slip st to the first st. -24 sc

Round 4: Ch 1, sc in the first 3, *(sc, ch 2, sc) in the next ch-2 space, sc in the next 6; repeat from * 2 times, (sc, ch 2, sc) in the next ch-2 space, sc in the next 3, join with a slip st to the first st. -32 sc

Body

Round 1: Ch 1, sc in the first 4, sc in the next ch-2 space, sc in the next ch-2 space (skip all sts between ch-2 spaces), sc in the next 8, sc in the next ch-2 space, sc in the next ch-2 space (skip all sts between ch-2 spaces), sc in the next 4, join with a slip st to the first st. -20 sc 

Rounds 2-4: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with a slip st to the first st. 

Round 5: Ch 1, *fpsc, bpsc; repeat from * around, join with a slip st to the first st.

Fasten off

Sleeves (repeat on both sides)

Join to any unworked st of the last round of the yoke (near the ch-2 spaces is best). 

Round 1: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with a slip st to the first st. -8 sc

Rounds 2-4: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with a slip st to the first st.  

Round 5: Ch 1, (sc 3, skip 1) 2 times, join with a slip st to the first st. 6 sc

Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave in all ends.
