Hobbi’s Fluffy Day yarn is a delightful addition to any knitting or crochet enthusiast’s collection. This yarn lives up to its name, providing a wonderfully soft and fluffy texture that makes it a joy to work with. Here’s a detailed review of Hobbii Fluffy Day yarn.

I may be a bit late to the game but this is my first time using yarn from the company Hobbii. They have reached out to me a few times about campaigns and I was finally able to fit this in. Hobbii is an online yarn shop based out of Copenhagen, Denmark. They sell a wide variety of beautiful yarns and accessories for knitters and crocheters around the world. For this campaign I was asked to choose a yarn line to try out and that in itself was quite the decision. They have so much yarn to choose from and so many colors in each line! I finally settled on Fully Day so let me tell you about this wonderful yarn.

Yarn Specs

Fluffy Day is a 100% acrylic yarn that comes in 100g skeins. This yarn is worsted weight and also comes in a bulky weight called Fluffy Day XL.

Texture and Feel: The standout feature of Fluffy Day yarn is its incredible softness. As soon as you touch it, you’ll be amazed by how plush and cuddly it feels. This makes it perfect for creating cozy and warm projects like blankets, scarves, and hats. The yarn slides smoothly through your fingers as you work, making your crafting experience enjoyable and comfortable.

Color Variety: Hobbi offers a wide range of beautiful and vibrant colors in the Fluffy Day yarn collection. Whether you prefer pastel shades for baby blankets or bold hues for statement pieces, you’ll find a color that suits your project perfectly. The colors are rich and don’t fade easily, ensuring your creations stay vibrant over time.

Hobbii Fluffy Day Yarn Review

Over all I enjoyed this yarn but there are some things to keep in mind. I love the wide variety of colors. I chose 5 colors and it made a very nice Fall pallet.

The yarn itself is very soft and one of the reasons I chose it is because it’s acrylic but has a wool look to it. This is great if you happen to have a wool allergy but still want that look.

Working with the yarn was easy. It didn’t drag on my hands and glided beautifully through my hook. I was worried it would be difficult to frog but it really wasn’t. I made this scarf (pattern coming soon!) and ended up having to frog at least one row. As long as you take it slow it wont get caught up as you rip out your stitches.

One thing you will want to do when working with this yarn is to pull from the outside of the skein. When I first started using it I pulled from the middle of the skein. There was minimal yarn barf which was lovely however, because it’s brushed and catches on itself. At first I thought it was getting tangled up but then I realized the yarn sticking to itself. Trust me, it’s a mess so just unwind the yarn from the outside and it will be wonderful.

I ended up making the scarf like I said and used the rest of the yarn to make some hats. You can watch the video on how to make these hats here. I used these hats to test the durability of the yarn. The label says the yarn is machine washable however with the brushed texture I wasn’t sure. I wanted to test it out. The grey hat is not washed and looks wonderful! It’s soft, light and stretchy. I love it.

I threw the orange hat in the wash on a cold cycle then laid it flat to dry. Unfortunately, after washing I think it lost most of that fluffy texture that made the material so lovely.

I took it a step further and threw the yellow hat in the dryer after washing because I was curious. This one I think actually turned out a bit better. Something about the heat made it even softer but it still isn’t as fuzzy as the original. It almost looks like it was a normal hat that has been used a lot and has started to pill.

I would recommend hand washing your projects in this yarn.

Conclusion

Overall, I did enjoy this yarn. There are so many projects that would be great for this yarn. Sweaters, hats, scarfs, and amigurumi. It comes in a wide variety of colors so you’re sure to find that perfect shade. It’s easy to work with and easy to frog if you need to. I would recommend hand washing projects made in Fluffy Day if you want to keep that fluffy texture. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced crafter, Fluffy Day yarn is sure to bring joy to your crafting endeavors.
