The ch 1/ch 2 at the beginning of each round will NOT count as a st.

You will join each round with a ss to the top of the first st of each round.
For stitch counts 1 shell = [1 sc, ch 2, 3(2 or 1) dcs]

Squid Dance Hat Free Crochet Pattern Instructions
Round 1 (RS) – Fsc 66, being careful not to twist, join with a ss to the first st.
*size adjustment note: You can make this hat larger or smaller by working a fsc in multiples of 3. By this point the first round should comfortably fit around your head. A bit on the sung side is better than too loose as it will loosen up with wear.
Round 2-5 – Ch 1, working in the BLO c in every ch around, join. 66
Round 6 – Ch 1, working in the BLO sc in 1st, ch 2, 3 dc in the side of the last sc worked, skip 2, *sc in the next, ch 2, 3 dc in the side of the last sc worked, skip 2; repeat from * around, join to the beg ch 1. 22 shells

Repeat round 7, 7 more times.
*Size adjustment note: you can repeat round 7 more or less time to make the hat larger or smaller
Round 15 – Ss in the ch-2 space, ch 1, turn, sc in the same ch-2 space, ch 2, 2 dc in the side of the last sc worked, skip the next 3 dc, * sc in the next ch-2 space, ch 2, 2 dc in the side of the last sc worked, skip the next 3 dc; repeat from * around, join to the beg ch 1. 22 shells

Remember the lovely yarn I received from Red Heart a while ago? Well, I finally had some time to make something with the Reflective yarn. I’ve been wanting to try this yarn since I first saw it pop up so I was really excited to see how it worked up. Continue reading Walkabout Slouch (Free Pattern)

This year my goal was to make a blanket for everyone in my family. I made it in at the last second with my final blanket for my dad (Bob!). I wanted to make this one simple and fuss free just like my dad so I let the kiddos pick the colors (I think they did an exceptional job) and I picked a simple stitch. Continue reading Bob’s! Whip up these simple hats and leave them as is or add embellishments to turn them into character hats or whatever you’d like! These would also make great hats for charity. Some people keep water and granola bars in their cars for the homeless. Why not hats as well? Continue reading Free Simple Single Crochet Hat Pattern
Ever save tiny little balls of yarn just because you hate to throw them away? Well I do! I’ve found the perfect use for them is to make little preemie hats to donate. I know a lot of people think about this during the holidays but hospitals take donations all year round. The pattern uses worsted weight yarn which most crocheters hand on hand. Testers said it took about 10 minutes so it’s really easy to make a bunch in a small amount of time. Continue reading Quick and Easy Preemie Hat
