I designed this shawl for those beautiful striped yarns out there. The Doty Shawl is asymmetrical and starts with just s few stitches. I love how the stripes get thinner as the shawl gets wider. The great thing is you can use any yarn and any appropriate size needles.

I know a lot of people think about this during the holidays but hospitals take donations all year round. The pattern uses worsted weight yarn which most crocheters hand on hand. How about a free pattern today?
I wrote this pattern a while ago and l really like this stitch. It’s fun and could be done in several color combinations to match any décor. This rug is nice a cushy because you use two strands of worsted weight yarn held together. I used Red Hear Super Saver (less than 1 skein of each color) but I imagine it would be nice in cotton as well.
